Muslims pray five times a day, giving glory and praise to God (Allah) and reciting verses from the Koran. Various traditional postures are employed in sequence, such as standing with arms raised, standing with arms crossed over the chest and bowing, prostrating on the ground, and sitting.
If by Allah’s grace and mercy a person is able to hold to the principles or recitation of the Koran and practice its content, this person is said to be in light. Allah guides to his light whomsoever He wills. Sometimes prayer is recited in the seated position with light coming from the back illuminating soul.
